Gerald Randolph Opsima Anderson, Jr. was born to Gerald Randy Anderson, Sr., a Caucasian American instructor in the Philippine Navy who travels back and forth between the United States and Zambales, and Evangeline Opsima, a Filipina from General Santos ****, South Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines. When he was three years old, he and his family moved to San Antonio, Texas. He has 2 older sisters and one younger brother. At age 14, Anderson and his family returned to Dasmariñas ****.
