Samuel Grandchamp is a writer, director, producer and cinematographer, living in New York. He attended the Graduate Film Program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he received the Martin Scorsese Young Filmmakers Scholarship.Raised in Geneva, Switzerland, Samuel directed his first film in 2009, "Le grand détournement Artamis", an award-winning short documentary, before completing a BSc in Macroeconomics from HEC Lausanne. His film "Calle Guise" premiered at the 2014 Winterthur International Short Film Festival and was featured in the Best Swiss Short Films of 2014. His latest film, "Le barrage", was selected in **** than 20 international festivals such as Hong Kong, Palm Springs or Sao Paulo and won the Golden Leopard for Best Short Film at the 2015 Locarno Film Festival.He is currently in post-production of a new narrative short film, produced by Point Prod (Genève), in collaboration with Kodak (USA) and Film Factory (Paris). He is simultaneously developing his first feature film, inspired by his short film "Le barrage".
