Yoann was born close to Geneva, Switzerland, on the border between France and Switzerland. He is both Swiss and French. In his teens he spent a year as an exchange student in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he studied theater. Later, he attempted INSAS, in Brussels, Belgium.
